Markell Steele is a counselor in private practice who works with professionals in career transition. In her practice, she helps clients identify and connect with satisfying jobs by providing comprehensive career planning and management services, including career assessment, action plan creation and implementation, resume consultation, and job search assistance. For the past seven years, Ms. Steele has taught career exploration classes for adults evaluating their career paths as a consultant for the Learning Annex in Los Angeles and as an adjunct instructor at Fullerton College.

In addition to counseling adults in career transition, Ms. Steele is a Program Manager Consultant in the Office of Executive Education Programs at the Anderson School at UCLA. In this role, she manages a portfolio of customized general management programs for entrepreneurs and business executives. Prior to joining the Anderson School, she worked as a Career Counselor at UCLA Career Services. Other professional experience includes work as a Case Manager for the Private Industry Council and Outreach Coordinator for Orange Coast College.

Ms. Steele has written an article that was published in the Journal of Career Planning and Employment and was featured in articles published in HR Executive and Black Issues in Higher Education.

Ms. Steele’s educational background includes a Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of San Diego (USD) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). She is a National Certified Counselor and has been trained as a Distance Credentialed Counselor.
